Heaven is a Little Sweeter Today

We are all competitve and sometimes more than we should be.  But when one of us loses a loved one, the reality of what we're doing on earth becomes clearer.  The competitve nature of sport takes a back seat and we mourn and pray for our fellow friend/athlete/opponent and his or her loss.

Today lets think about that and say a prayer for the Scrubs QB AJ Pearce and his family.  AJ's mom passed away from cancer on Thursday, June 26th.

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers for our friend and his family.  Also, let's know that we have a short amount of time here.  Learn and love ... and expand both of those areas.

Until we see you on the field again A.J., we'll be thinking and praying for those who hurt because of the loss of your wonderful mother.

Crunchtime__ Double trouble as team bookends title

 http://scffa.com/static/content/media/crunchtimesmall.jpg http://scffa.com/static/content/media/state_fall07_crunchtime.jpg

Crunchtime won their 1st ever State  title by defeating M.O.B. 20-6, for the Spring version of the 2 championships up for grabs every year.

They revenged last years loss in the title game to WantSome by knocking them out of the semis, 38-20.  M.O.B. defeated the eventual D2 State Champions Unknowns , 19-12.

Crunchtime led the "all coast " charge and won their 2nd State title, 1st during the Fall season.  They knocked off Squeeze, another team from the Mt. Pleasant league, 27-19.  Crunchtime did only what one other team has done and that's bookend the championship game by winning both a Fall & Spring trophy.  Only Westside of '04 did that when they were on their great run of 3 years ago.
